One person was injured during a crash in Pittsylvania County early Sunday morning. Just after midnight Blairs Fire and Rescue responded to the 5400 Block of Old Richmond Road for a motor vehicle crash. 

Units found a single vehicle overturned with one person trapped. The patient was extricated and transported to the helipad at Blairs Fire and Rescue where they were flown to a regional trauma center in serious condition. Blairs Fire and Rescue responded with an Engine, Rescue Engine, Transport Unit, the Chief’s vehicle, and 12 personnel.
