Off Season, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing holistic sports and economic development opportunities in the area, has issued an official call for new members to join its Board of Directors.

The organization seeks visionary leaders, strategic thinkers, bold collaborators, and hands-on doers who believe in the power of youth, sports, and economic development.

“Off Season is calling people who don’t just talk about change, but are ready to help build it,” said Nicholas Morris, Board Chair. “We are looking for individuals who are willing to invest their time, talents, and networks into building a better future for Pittsylvania County together.”

Off Season is a nonprofit organization championing youth and economic development in Pittsylvania County through sports. Off Season is reviewing applications from individuals who are committed to youth empowerment and community transformation, experienced in sports management and operations, economic development, finance, nonprofit governance, and other sectors, eager to serve in a collaborative, faith-rooted environment, and are prepared to lead with purpose and build with integrity.

Those interested in serving or nominating someone must complete the Board Interest Form by Monday, August 12, 2025.

Qualified candidates will be invited to one of two upcoming Virtual Board Candidate Forums, where they will learn more about Off Season’s mission, programs, and the role of the Board in shaping the future of youth and economic development in the region.
