One person was injured in a crash in Pittsylvania County early Sunday morning. According to the Hurt Volunteer Fire Department, crews were dispatched at 12:53 am to the crash on Pocket Road.

Once on scene crews found a vehicle that appeared to have run off the road and struck a tree. One person was entrapped because of the crash.

The patient was extricated from the vehicle and flown to a local trauma center by Centra One.
