Average gas prices across Virginia climbed by eight cents this week compared to last week to $3.07 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is up by a penny to $3.15 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is up by one cent this week to $2.85, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is also up by a penny to $2.94 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price remained the same this week at $2.85 a gallon and in Henry County the average jumped up by nine cents to $2.94. Prices in Halifax County climbed 11 cents this week to $3.03 a gallon.
