(Danville, VA) – The suspect in a shooting that left a 23 year old woman dead is now in custody.  Danville Police have arrested Jaiquawn Amos Powell,28, and have charged him with 2nd degree murder.

Just after 3:30 Sunday morning police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Cooper Street for a noise complaint.  A large gathering was dispersed by officers and as they departed the scene a single gun shot was heard.  As police returned to the scene they found Ketasha Fuller, 23, of Danville suffering from a gunshot wound.  She was transported to the hospital where she succumb to her injuries.

A video from the scene showed a male arguing with Fuller before pulling a gun and firing a single shot.

Darius Damon Walters, 33, was arrested Sunday and has been charged with accessory after the fact.
