(Danville, VA) – Following a shooting Sunday morning shooting that left a 23 year old woman dead, Danville Police have identified a suspect in the incident. Jaiquawn Amon Powell, 28, has been charged with Second Degree Murder in the shooting death of 23 year old Ketasha Fuller of Danville.

The shooting took place on just after 3:30am Sunday on Cooper Street when officers responded to a noise complaint.  After the gathering was dispersed and the police were departing a single gun shot was fired. Fuller was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Darius Damon Walters, 33, has been arrested and charged with Accessory after the fact.

The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information regarding this shooting is asked to reach out to the Danville Police Department, call 911, or call Crimestoppers.  Information leading to arrest or conviction in this case could be eligible for reward.
