Two people were rescued from vehicles following a crash in Pittsylvania County on Tuesday. According to Ringgold Volunteer Fire and Rescue, units were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Ringgold Road and Tom Fork Road at around 2:50 pm.

Arriving units found two vehicles with heavy damage and two occupants entrapped. Engine 231’s crew went to work removing the driver side door to make access.

Ringgold Volunteer Fire and Rescue was assisted by Blairs Fire & Rescue, Pittsylvania County Public Safety, Virginia State Police, and Airlife 1.
