Average gas prices across Virginia fell by four cents this week compared to last week to $3.00 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is up by a penny to $3.15 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is down by three cents this week to $2.86, while the average price in Pittsylvania County fell by six cents for the second week in a row to $2.92 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by two cents this week to $2.84 a gallon and in Henry County the average price dropped by four cents to $2.82. Prices in Halifax County are down by four cents this week to $2.95 a gallon.
