For the months of July and August, while the produce season is at its peak, the Danville Farmers Market hours are extended to include Wednesdays from 1 pm to 6 pm at the Community Market building, 629 Craghead St.
Corn, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, peppers, blackberries, and blueberries are among the locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables available at this time.
In addition to Wednesdays, the Farmers Market is open on Saturdays from 7:30 am to noon and offers fresh local produce, meats, honey, eggs, jams, jellies, salsa, canned goods, homemade baked goods, potted plants, bedding plants, herbs, cut flowers and arrangements, unique locally crafted gifts, artwork and jewelry.
The Danville Community Market accepts EBT.
Interested vendors can call (434) 797-8961 to inquire about reserving market spots. Spots are assigned by market management.
