Average gas prices across Virginia are up by four cents this week compared to last week to $3.13 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down by four cents to $3.18 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville climbed by six cents this week to $2.99, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is down by a penny this week to $2.98 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price jumped up by seven cents this week to $2.98 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is up by a penny to $2.96. Prices in Halifax County are up by three cents this week to $3.13 a gallon.
