Members of the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors will receive raises starting next year following a vote last night. The measure passed 5-2 for the Board of Supervisors to receive raises starting on January 1, 2026.
Members of the Board of Supervisors will be paid $1,500 a month starting in January, while the vice chair of the board will make $1,650 a month and the chairman will receive $1,850 a month.
The funds for the raise had already been approved by the board of supervisors as part of the budget process for fiscal year 2025-26. This will be the first time since 1998 that the compensation has been adjusted for the boar of supervisors.
