A man has been arrested after he reportedly threatened the Danville Area Humane Society. According to Danville Police, the threat occurred on June 12 when 74-year-old James Magistro called the Humane Society about a dog he had surrendered during the prior week.
During the call, Magistro asked about the welfare of the dog. Magistro also said that his dog better go to a good home and better not be dead.
He then made a threat stating he would burn down the Humane Society. Magistro was taken into custody on June 14 and has been charged with threatening to bomb or burn a building. His first court appearance will be on June 24.
