
Martinsville City Council saw the results of a city employee pay study on Tuesday night. The study shows that Martinsville is currently 12% below market rates for city employees.
The study also shows that 40% of City of Martinsville employees are more than 15% below the average market rate. Martinsville City Council recently approved a 3% employee pay increase.
The pay study recommended that the City of Martinsville should adjust the pay structure to align with average market minimums and maximums.
Martinsville City Council is expected to review the pay study and make a decision for how they plan to address the pay issues.
