Farmina Pet Foods Officially opened its manufacturing facility in Reidsville on Wednesday. The facility is the company’s first manufacturing facility in the U.S.

Farmina invested $115 million to build the 150,000-square-foot facility at 248 Sands Road. The new facility is expected to bring around 200 jobs to the area.

Farmina originally announced the new facility in December of 2020 and was expected to begin construction in 2021. The project was made possible from a Job Development Investment Grant from NC Commerce, a variety of economic development incentives from the City of Reidsville and Rockingham County, and a development grant from Duke Energy.
