A woman has been arrested following a shooting in Pittsylvania County on Wednesday. According to the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at 6:15 am to an address on Cascade Mill Rd, in Cascade, for a reported shooting incident.

Once on scene, deputies found a male victim in the residence with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by medical personnel and is in stable condition at this time.

A suspect was identified and was apprehended following a K-9 track. The suspect and victim reportedly knew each other and lived at the same address.

37-year-old Catherine Revel, of Cascade, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding. There could be additional charges following further investigation.
