
The Danville Police Department has arrested a second suspect in a shooting on Sunday that resulted in a death and four people being injured. On Tuesday, the department arrested 26-year-old Tyliek Niem Hanks, of Java, in reference to the ongoing shooting investigation.
22-year-old Jay’Shaun Tiejae White, of Hurt, was killed in the shooting that occurred on Carver Drive early Sunday morning. Hanks was the driver of the Chrysler sedan in which White was found deceased and was one of the males wounded in the incident. He has been charged with the following at this time:
3 counts – Discharge a Firearm from a Moving Vehicle
3 counts – Malicious Wounding
3 counts – Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony
Investigators, crime scene technicians, and officers continue to work this still active investigation. More arrests and charges are likely as the investigation continues.
