Virginia State Police is investigating a single-vehicle crash, which resulted in a fatality.  The crash occurred Saturday, (May 31) at 8:40 am on Major Holland Road, two tenths of a mile north of Moonlight Cove in Franklin County.

A 2007 Ford F-350 was traveling north on Major Holland Road, when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck several trees and overturned.

The driver of the Ford was identified as Malcolm Randal Johnson, 64 of Union Hall, Va. Mr. Johnson was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
