Average gas prices across Virginia have fallen by six cents this week compared to last week to $2.95 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down by three cents to $3.14 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville fell by eight cents this week to $2.80, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is down by three cents to $2.89 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by two pennies this week to $2.92 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is down by four cents to $2.89. Prices in Halifax County dropped by 13 cents this week at $2.88 a gallon.
