A juvenile was arrested following a vehicle chase in Rockingham County on Monday. The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office says that deputies became involved in a vehicle pursuit with a stolen Kia Sedona early Monday morning.

The vehicle had previously been reported stolen from Caswell County. The pursuit started near the Caswell County line on Hwy 87 and continued North into the City of Reidsville reaching speeds in excess of 100 mph.  Deputies, along with assistance from the Reidsville Police Dept. were able to take the suspect into custody after the driver lost control of the stolen vehicle and collided with a telephone pole on Price St. in Reidsville.

The 15-year-old male driver was not injured in the crash. Juvenile petitions were obtained and he was placed in the custody of Juvenile Justice where a secure custody hearing will be scheduled for later this week for crimes committed in Rockingham County.

The juvenile will also be facing further charges from Caswell County as well as probation violations from Guilford County.
