A new traffic signal pole will be installed and an old one removed on Riverside Drive in front of Wendy’s on Monday, June 2, and Tuesday, June 3. The work will require lane closures and limit access to nearby businesses.

To accommodate the project, the following closures will be in effect from 7 am to 5 pm both days:

•         The right westbound lane of Riverside Drive will be closed.

•         Both left turn lanes in the median/crossover near Wendy’s will be closed.

•         The Riverside Shopping Center entrance from Riverside Drive will be closed. Customers should use Riverview Drive or Westover Drive to access the shopping center.

•         Traffic exiting Popeyes will be limited to right turns only onto Riverside Drive.

The work is being performed by J. B. Moore Electrical Contractor Inc.

Motorists should anticipate delays. The City of Danville thanks drivers and area businesses for their patience and cooperation during this project.
