The leader of Danville’s River District Association has announced she is stepping down. After eight years as CEO of the River District Association Diana Schwartz will step down on June 5. 

During her tenure, Diana has worked tirelessly alongside the City of Danville and other regional partners to help transform downtown Danville, contributing to the recognition as a Great American Main Street in 2023 and inspiring revitalization beyond the River District.

“It has been an honor and a privilege to play an important role in moving the downtown and the community forward in the journey towards revitalization for the last seven, almost eight years. I am excited to see what happens in Danville in the future with so much progress that has been made,” said Diana Schwartz.

Alyssa Turner, RDA’s Director of Business Services, will serve as interim Executive Director while the Board conducts a search for the RDA’s next leader.
