
A man has been arrested in connection to a homicide that occurred in Martinsville on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the Martinsville Police Department arrested 36-year-old Jermaine Dominique Finney, of Martinsville, on the charge of concealing or transporting a dead body. The charge is a class 6 felony.
Finney is being held without bond in the Martinsville City Jail. The investigation is ongoing and more charges and arrests are expected.
On Tuesday, authorities found the body of 34-year-old James Baldwin Jr. near the road in the 500 block of Lee’s Ridge Road. The investigation led to a residence at 1145 Ridge Road in Martinsville.
A search warrant was obtained for the residence and was served by members of the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and the Martinsville Police Department. Evidence obtained in the search warrant showed that the homicide occurred inside the residence.
Martinsville Police also found a vehicle that was believed to be connected to the case on Wednesday.
