Average gas prices across Virginia are down by three cents this week to $2.99 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down by a penny to $3.14 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is up by two cents this week to $2.91, while the average price in Pittsylvania County dropped by four cents to $2.88 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by three cents to $2.85 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is up by a penny to $2.86. Prices in Halifax County are down by two pennies this week to $3.02 a gallon.
