No injuries were reported after a tractor trailer turned over in Pittsylvania County on Wednesday. Gretna Fire & Rescue responded to the accident on US 29 in Whittles in the area of Payneton Rd. at around 2 pm to find a tractor trailer on its side in the median with an active fuel leak.

Hazmat resources were requested and the scene was turned over to state police for cleanup. US 29 South was reduced to one lane in the area of the accident.

Blairs Fire & Rescue also assisted with the Hazmat scene.
