Average gas prices across Virginia are down by a penny this week to $3.03 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is up by three cents to $3.16 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is down by a penny this week to $2.87, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is up by three cents for the second week in a row to $2.93 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by a penny for the second week in a row to $2.94 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is down by two cents to $2.92. Prices in Halifax County dropped by six cents this week to $3.02 a gallon.
