
A Richmond man was arrested following an abduction that occurred in Halifax County on Monday at the Dollar General Distribution Center. According to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and officers from the South Boston Police Department responded to a home on North Main Street in South Boston at 4 am after an abduction was reported.
A female victim stated that she was approached in the Dollar General Distribution Parking Lot by a man who then assaulted her and forced her into the passenger seat. The suspect then drove the vehicle off the premises.
The suspect dropped the victim off in the area of North Main Street in South Boston where she was able to contact law enforcement. Throughout the investigation officers were able to determine a suspect and obtain warrants for 42-year-old Noel Seda.
Sheriff’s Office members were able to obtain a possible location for Seda in Danville. Seda was then taken into custody by the Danville Police Department at around 8 pm on Monday.
Seda was charged with Abduction, Strangulation, Malicious Wounding and Grand Larceny. Seda is being held at Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Halifax without bond.
