Northbound traffic in Danville on South Main Street will be detoured at Stokes Street on Monday, and possibly Tuesday, from 9 am to 4 pm, to allow for the installation of a new eight-inch water main, weather permitting.

The detour route will direct northbound traffic from South Main Street onto Stokes Street, then onto Forest and Paxton streets, before returning to South Main Street.

Additionally, westbound traffic on Stokes Street will be detoured onto Stovall’s Alley and then Paxton Street.
