Average gas prices across Virginia are down by two cents this week to $2.98 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is also down two pennies to $3.08 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville climbed by six cents to $2.90, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is up by two cents this week to $2.90 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by two cents to $2.89 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is down by four cents to $2.91. Prices in Halifax County are down by two cents to $3.00 a gallon.
