
The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has confirmed a second tornado touched down in Pittsylvania County on September 27. The EF-1 tornado had winds of 90-95 mph and was on the ground for 0.15 miles.
The tornado touched down at 4:44 pm 3 miles NE of Keeling and was on the ground until 4:46 pm 3.1 miles NE of Keeling.
The tornado touched down near the intersection of Dodson Road and Slatesville Road. Several trees were knocked down by the storm, but no structures were damaged.
An EF-2 tornado also touched down on September 27 in Dry Fork and damaged over 30 structures.
