The Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday for RISE Dispensary. The new location in Danville will be the sixth in Virginia for RISE with other locations in Lynchburg, Salem, Christiansburg, Bristol, and Abingdon. The company has stores in 14 states across the country.

The store will serve as the first medical marijuana dispensary in Danville. According to the companies website, RISE has several in-house brands spanning a full spectrum of cannabis products. This includes incredibles edibles, Beboe edibles and vapes.

RISE will officially open in Danville on June 26 and will be open from 9 am-7 pm Monday through Saturday. The store is located at 816 West Main St.
