The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about the rise of catalytic converter thefts. Catalytic converter theft is on the rise nationally.
Thieves can steal a converter in less than a minute. The sheriff’s office is advising citizens to protect their cars by keeping your car away from public access when you’re not using it, a garage if possible.
If you must park in your driveway, on your street or even in a public lot or garage, park in a well-lit area. If it is on your property and you can, install a security camera.
Anyone having information regarding catalytic converter thefts is asked to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at 276-638-8751.
