A Martinsville man was killed in a crash on Tuesday afternoon in the 900 block of Rives Rd. 72-year-old David Kirk was pronounced dead at the scene after the single vehicle crash. 

Kirk was traveling north on Rives Road when he ran off the road and struck a telephone pole. It’s possible that a medical episode caused the crash and the crash remains under investigation.
