Early Thursday morning Pittsylvania County Schools were made aware of a possible threat to Chatham High School. After an investigation the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office determined that the threat is the same picture that circulated on social media four years ago and says “CHS” not specifically Chatham High School.
Chatham High School has notified parents through text message and phone calls about the incident. The school is still open today with a heavy police presence as a precaution.
Pittsylvania County Schools Superintendent Mark Jones said that parents can pick up their kids if they would like to.
