The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a homicide suspect. Tuesday at 6:50 pm deputies and EMS responded to the Northview Garden Apartments for a gunshot wound, however the victim died at the scene.

The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Deshawn Marquis Ross of Bassett. Investigators determined an argument occurred between Ross and Jahari Keontae Pritchett. During the argument Pritchett produced a firearm and shot Ross and then fled the scene.

Warrants have been issued on Jahari Keontae Pritchett, 22, of Martinsville, for first degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm after having been convicted of a felony.
