
The Danville Fire Department had a record year in 2022. The department ran a record 9,592 calls last year, which is the highest call volume they’ve had since opening in 1884. With an average of over 26 calls per day.
According to a Facebook post from the department, they saved over $10 million worth of property. On top of the record call volume, the department personnel logged over 37,000 training hours.
The communications center answered over 95,000 calls including 47,000 911 calls.
