The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles adds a new communications device to all service centers which will make it easier for those who are deaf or hard of hearing to conduct transactions. The wireless electronic device, called UbiDuo, features two small screens attached to keyboards that lets the customer and employee communicate by typing a conversation in real time. Sign language interpreters will still be available if customers prefer to use that service.
