Work is under way to rebuild a Chatham church which was severely damaged 3 years ago. According to 10 News volunteers with Carpenters for Christ are working at Open Bible Baptist Church restoring the building from the aftermath of a crashed tractor-trailer that took out two-thirds of the facility. The organization is spending a week in Pittsylvania County and the work at the Chatham church is almost done. They will return in October to take care of final details.
