Danville Police say they are prepared should a mass shooting incident like the one in Uvalde, Texas was to happen here. Capt. Steve Richardson tells the Register & Bee the department collaborates with the Danville Life Saving Crew, the Danville Fire Department and Danville City Public Schools to train for crisis events including mass shootings. Danville also has school resource offices plus the division employs private security personnel.
