
DANVILLE, Va. – A dog was resuscitated after a fire at a Danville business Tuesday.
The Danville Fire Department responded to 314 Mt Cross Road – the H20 Zone — at around 3:30 p.m. for a report of a structure fire. Crews found heavy smoke inside the single-story business. Upon entering, they found a small fire in the back of the business that was put out quickly.
Firefighters located a dog and brought it outside the building. The animal was given resuscitative efforts before being taken to a veterinary clinic by its owner.
Units were on-scene for an hour and fifteen minutes. No injuries were reported.
The business sustained minor fire damage and moderate smoke damage.
