
DANVILLE, Va. – Danville Police believe the same man was responsible for a pair of armed robberies Wednesday afternoon.
According to authorities, he robbed two dollar stores. The first happened at 12:30 p.m. at Family Dollar on North Main Main Street and the second about a half-hour later at the Dollar General on West Main Street.
Police say the man brandished a firearm in both robberies and was seen driving an older model white Buick. The robber is described as a black male with a beard in his late forties or fifties. He was wearing dark colored shorts, a dark shirt, and had a mask covering his nose and mouth. He was possibly driving a white, 4-door sedan believed to be a mid-nineties model Buick.
No shots were fired and he made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
