DANVLLE, Va. – There were no injuries in a two-vehicle accident involving a Danville public school bus Thursday afternoon.

A spokesman on the scene said four students from Bonner Middle School and their driver were on board the bus when a car pulled out and collided with the bus shortly before 3 p.m. The accident happened on Montague Street and damage to the bus was minor.

Danville police and fire units blocked off the area as the students were checked out before being escorted off the bus by their parents.

The driver of gray Nissan reportedly pulled into the path of the bus, colliding with the area just behind the doors. The Nissan sustained heavy front end damage.

There was no immediate word on charges.
