RICHMOND, Va. – The Virginia Supreme Court has denied an appeal by Natalie Keepers. In September 2018, a jury found Keepers guilty of being an accessory before the fact in the first-degree murder of 13-year-old Nicole Lovell.
Her attorneys said the trial was unfair but the court affirmed Keepers’ conviction Wednesday and denied her appeal.
Former Virginia Tech student David Eisenhauer was found guilty of abducting, murdering and hiding Lovell’s body and was given a 50-year prison term. He convinced the 13-year-old to climb out of her bedroom window before he took her to a wooded area and stabbed her to death in January of 2016.
