
DANVILLE, Va. – Danville Police responded early Sunday morning after callers reported that a vehicle had crashed into a home at 23 Elizabeth Street.
The driver was behind the wheel of a Chevy Suburban when the vehicle left the road and struck the side of the house, which was vacant at the time.
Police say a male was driving the SUV, which had North Carolina tags. His name has not been released.
The driver was extricated from the vehicle and flown to Carlion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.His name and condition were unavailable.
Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
