DANVILLE, Va. – A Danville woman with Alzheimer’s disease has been located and is unharmed.

77-year-old Doris Moore left her home Schoolfield Friday evening and family members feared for her safety because of the cold temperatures and rising floodwaters.

Danville Police say Moore drove from home in a 2002 Toyota Sienna minivan with Virginia tags JYC-3440. She was located, safe, a few hours after being reported missing.

Police were able to track her through a debit card transaction she made in Durham, North Carolina.

Moore has been reunited with her family.

Police thanked the public for their assistance.
