REIDSVILLE, N.C. – Reidsville police have arrested a serial robber believed responsible for a string of hold-ups in Virginia and North Carolina.
38-year-old Larry Wayne Inge of Danville faces multiple charges following his arrest in Reidsville, North Carolina. At about 7:00 Thursday night, officers responded to the Food Lion on Freeway Drive in reference to a robbery. Authorities set-up a perimeter in the area around the store. During the search, they found a suspicious vehicle and later, Inge, who was arrested.
Inge was charged with robbing five Food Lion stores, including stores Danville and Martinsville, as well as two convenience store robberies. Police said Inge may also be linked to several other robberies in the North Carolina triad area as well as in Virginia.
Inge is in the Rockingham County Jail under a half-million dollar secured bond with a first appearance date of Feb. 12.
