DANVILLE, Va. — Danville Police are investigating a Christmas Day shooting that happened on Grove Street.

Investigators say a 22-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the arm in the incident, which happened around 2 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of Grove, near its intersection with Gay Street.

Police canvassed the area and cordoned off a wooded lot below the WBTM/WAKG studios. At last report, no arrest had been made.

The victim was transported to the emergency room of Sovah Health Danville, where he was treated for a non-life threatening injury.
