HENRY COUNTY, Va. – A Henry County woman was killed in a single-vehicle accident over the weekend.

Virginia State Police say 78-year-old Sarah Cecelia Ferguson Taylor of Ridgeway died at the scene of the wreck, which happened around 9:30 Saturday morning.

Taylor was southbound on Rt. 687 in a 2008 Toyota Highlander when the vehicle crossed the center line and ran off the left side of the highway. The Highlander then then hit a large boulder and tree.

Taylor died at the scene. State Police say she was wearing her seat belt.

The accident remains under investigation.
