DANVILLE, Va. – One person suffered burns to the hand in a kitchen fire in Danville Sunday evening.
According to the Danville Fire Department, the fire started around 6 p.m. at 3142 Westover Drive.
A neighbor came to the Westover Station to report the blaze and crews found smoke coming from the rear of the home. The fire was traced to the kitchen and was confined to the stove and some kitchen cabinets.
All of the occupants were out of the house when firefighters arrived. One was treated at the scene for minor burns but did not require hospitalization.
Three engines and a ladder truck responded and crews were on scene for just over an hour.
