DANVILLE, Va. – Danville Police are asking the public for help in identifying the man who robbed two convenience stores Wednesday night.

At 9:15 that night, a masked man armed with a handgun robbed Junior’s Convenience Market on West Main Street. The white male was armed with a silver pistol. He pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded cash before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money. No shots were fired and no one was injured.

The gunman was wearing a camouflage face mask and dark colored clothing.

It’s believed the same individual held-up the Harvest Ridge Market on US 29 Business in Ruffin, N.C. earlier in the evening. A masked white male carrying a silver pistol entered the store about 6:45 p.m. and robbed the cashier before fleeing on foot.

Danville Police are working with Rockingham County Sheriff’s investigators to identify the suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous.
