(Danville, Va.) — A judge has denied bond for a Danville man charged with murder in the beating death of his infant daughter.

30-year-old John Shore is charged felony homicide, and child abuse and neglect. The infant died of blunt force trauma.

Danville Police were called to the hospital in January for an unresponsive one-year-old child suffering from head trauma.

Shore had taken his daughter to the emergency room of SOVAH Health Danville. The baby was transfered to a Roanoke hospital, where she died two days later.
